To work as a salesperson or property manager in Queensland, you must complete the Real Estate Registration Certificate Course and then apply to the Office of Fair Trading for your certificate.
This Registration Certificate allows you to work for an existing agency under supervision. If you want to run your own agency or work as a contractor, you’ll need to complete the full licence qualification.
You’ll have 6 months from the date you receive your login details. The course is self-paced — many students finish earlier depending on their availability and experience.
No exams. The course includes 7 sets of open-book assessments, completed through our online learner portal with support from experienced trainers.
Apply online or in person with Queensland Office of Fair Trading, using your Statement of Attainment received from completing your course. Approval generally takes 4–6 weeks. You’ll need to be at least 18 years old to apply (though you can enrol and complete your course from the age of 15). You’ll also need to have a clear record, meaning no disqualifying convictions or bankruptcy.
